Imagine if a white tea was every bit as perfect as a Rolls-Royce automobile, as unique as a Roger Federer backhand, as delicate as a butterfly’s wings. Imagine all that, and you’d come up with a tea similar to the Silver Needle.

Silver Needle tea has been grown in the Fuding County of Fujian province since the early days of the Ming Dynasty. Our tea comes from local tea farmer Yu Qizhao. The tea is harvested in spring, when the young sprouts possess an intensely fresh flavor. After they are harvested, the tea leaves are set across bamboo trays to dry. This loose-leaf tea has a smooth, delicate, honey-sweet flavor with notes of tangerine. Many Chinese consider Silver Needle to be the personification of sophisticated enjoyment and preserve their reserves of if for special occasions such as the New Year, weddings, and family reunions.

I ordered a free sample of this tea. When done right, silver needle presents a unique flavor that's really tasty. Yezi did a great job with their silver needle. No package dust/broken pieces, which is an indication of well-stored, high quality tea. As a result, I was able to taste the unique flavor that silver needle is known for.

Wow, a very pleasant surprise. My only experience with white teas were less than spectacular - like mostly weak, lightly flavored water. I received a sample of this tea with my recent order (Thank you Yezi!) and I will definitely be ordering more. I found it has a nice subtle, but very present, warm and smooth flavor and great mouth feel. Still tasty on the third brew!

I tried out the Silver Needle tea as my first white tea experience and I immediately enjoyed the sweet taste. The tea leaves were enjoyable to the tongue as well as the eyes because of the way it suspends itself on the water. I bought it under the summer promotion and I will definitely continue to order from Yezi tea.

My first white tea experience. Subtle & relaxing with vegan notes. If I had to describe this tea with one word it would be: Refreshing. Pleasing aftertaste. I will be a repeat customer.

Light and refreshing. The tea remains a light color too when steeped for a longer period of time. Delicious with a sensible meal and during breakfast. Easy on the stomach and a pleasing taste and smell. Love it! Delicious.

This tea is fantastic! I was looking for something earthy and rich that would really balance the spice of some Northern Thai dishes I was making. The dishes packed quite the punch heat wise and the Silver Needle was a perfect complement, soothing the mouth and cleansing the palate between bites. Could not recommend this tea more, especially as a complement to very spicy dishes.

This tea has an appreciative and calming effect. The primary taste is like Chinese broccoli, bitter, but as you wait, it gets sweet like apples with a slight tartness of pineapples. This was observed by me from the July 4th sale from Yezi.
