This fabled Tieguanyin oolong tea hails from the mountainous Anxi County in the southern Fujian province of China. Also called The Iron Bodhisattva, it has been delighting tea drinkers with its heavy yet surprisingly sweet flavor since the early days of the Qing Dynasty.

The Iron Bodhisattva has a heavy body with notes of camphor balanced by a strong orchid scent. The tea is famed for its dark notes of caramel and refreshing aftertaste of honey. With its robust amber body and surprising palette of flavors, The Iron Bodhisattva loose-leaf tea is the perfect beverage to rejuvenate both your body and spirit in the sometimes sapping hours of the afternoon.

I love this Tieguanyin Oolong. It tastes so fresh and smooth, with a light nutty and green beans flavor. I drink this almost every day now.

This is my favorite tea in the world. I order it exclusively from Yezi and have never been disappointed. Each infusion of this tea brings a different aroma and flavor which makes the entire experience unique each and every time. I generally use 1 tsp in 8 oz filtered water at 190*F. First steep 45 seconds, add 15 seconds to each additional steep. I have hade success with up to 6 infusions and have not attempted to do more but am certain it would still produce a great flavor and aroma. Yezi's amazing quality products and customer service make this an easy tea to keep as a staple in my cupboard. I highly recommend this tea to anyone whether it be buying in bulk or taking advantage of Yezi's free samples and trying it out!

As soon as I opened up the package and saw the leaf, I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed. The leaf is of a beautiful vibrant green color and smelled very fresh. I put a generous amount into my gaiwan and did a 15 second steep. This tieguanyin is the lightest I have tasted, which is nice. I really like how bright and clean it is, it is very refreshing. I imagine it would be fantastic iced. It is very consistent and does not vary too much even 8 steeps through. The unfurled leaves look equally as impressive, and are full and complete. This is one of the few oolongs I've had where the leaves are almost about to displace the lid to my gaiwan a few steeps into a session (same with the other Yezi oolongs I have tried as well). Definitely one of those that make you say how did they possibly roll that into something so tiny? Recommended!
