This comprehensive tea set comes with a gaiwan (lidded bowl) brewing pot, a teapot for pouring and sharing tea, and six teacups. The components are made of Lu Bao Yao, a modern porcelain that originated in Taiwan in the early 1970s. All these implements have thick walls, which make them ideal for handling hot tea. This particular tea set is made in Fujian’s Dehua County. The letters inscribed on the wall spell out Zui Ren, which can be translated into drunk people. Some people get drunk on alcohol. Others get drunk on wealth. However, those who get drunk on tea are inebriated by all of nature’s goodness—the fog in the mountains, the first flush of springtime, and the golden rays of the afternoon sun. It is quite a different kind of high—and one that is highly recommended!
Beautiful set. The glaze has a wonderful texture, and the colors are awesome. Great quality and craftsmanship. I highly recommend this set.
